Where healing becomes purpose — through therapy animals
serving those still in the fire.

Your courage becomes someone else's strength - Add yours and watch the light grow.
Ashes into Crowns is where healing deepens into service. Cancer is a fire. It strips away what we thought defined us — comfort, job security, what seemed stable. But fire doesn’t destroy everything. It refines. Like silver in the furnace, the impurities burn off, leaving behind something more radiant than what we were before. God won’t let us be ruined — He’s shaping us into something timelessly valuable.
“He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.” — Malachi 3:3
Why it matters

Love outlasts the fire. Healing is more than healing for ourselves — it’s becoming a reflection of the One who made us.
Scars become crowns when we turn outward: when what we’ve suffered becomes a story that lights the way for someone still wandering in the dark. Our healing journey changes from survival to service — which is where true healing begins.
“And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.” — 1 Peter 5:4
How it works

Cancer doesn’t get to write our ending. Out of the furnace we rise: hearts purified, faith proven, scars that no longer shame but shine. These ashes become crowns.
Every act of courage that puts another first becomes a crown that lights the way for the weary to find hope. That’s the heart of leaving the ninety-nine to go after the one. (Luke 15:4–6)

Whether you’re a certified therapy-animal team or a patient/caregiver looking for one, use the form below — we’ll do our best to connect you.
How connections work
Cancer TL;DR helps cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and families find independent therapy-animal teams and animal-assisted support programs. We do not provide, supervise, certify, schedule, or guarantee visits. When someone requests a connection, we contact the therapy team first. If the team is available and comfortable, we make a warm introduction so both sides can coordinate directly.
Important note: Therapy-animal visits are comfort-based support, not medical care or mental health treatment. Availability is not guaranteed. Please check with your medical team or facility before any animal visit, especially if you have allergies, immune suppression, recent surgery, open wounds, infection concerns, or fear of animals.
